Minnesota Twins Sign Third Baseman
The Minnesota Twins are continuing to add to their depth before spring training is here, as they now have signed Cole Tate to a minor league contract.
Tate will now provide the Twins with another third base prospect as they gear up for the 2023 season. Although he will not be in the running to make their major league roster, he will now have the chance to begin his career.
Tate just completed his collegiate career with the Georgia Bulldogs and had a big year in 2022. In 42 games on the year, he had six home runs, 30 RBIs, and a very impressive .359 batting average. All of these were career highs for him, so now he will be aiming to translate this kind of success to the minor leagues from here.
