Minnesota Twins Sign Pitcher

The Minnesota Twins have added to their roster, as they have signed Nolan Blackwood to a minor league contract. 

Blackwood spent this past season as a part of the Detroit Tigers organization but did not appear in a single MLB game. Instead, he spent the entirety of the season with Triple-A Toledo, where he had a 2-1 record to go along with a 3.81 ERA in 44 appearances. Overall, he had some decent moments in 2022, but now he will be aiming to take that next step in the Twins' system from here.

If Blackwood performs well this season, it could open the door to the Twins calling him up at some point during it. However, at a minimum, the Twins have simply added another decent reliever to their Triple-A squad.
