Minnesota Twins Sign Outfielder
The Minnesota Twins have made a minor move, as they have signed Maddux Houghton to a minor league contract.
Houghton will now give the Twins another depth outfielder as they prepare for the 2023 season. The outfield prospect appeared in 36 games in the MLB Draft League last season, where he had four home runs, 23 RBIs, and a .362 batting average. Clearly, his impressive stats at the plate have impressed the Twins, and now they are taking a chance on the 23-year-old.
Alas, we will need to wait and see if Houghton can develop into a key part of the Twins' roster later down the road. Until then, let's see how he performs in the minors in 2023.
