The Dodgers have signed pitcher Trevor Bettencourt to a minor-league contract.

Bettencourt spent the 2022 season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, the Philadelphia Phillies' affiliate, posting a 3.16 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, with 32 strikeouts across 31.1 innings of work. He made 20 relief appearances, started three games and held a 1-2 record.

The twenty-eight-year-old has yet to make his major-league debut, but he holds an impressive 2.58 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, with 159 strikeouts over 132.2 innings and 92 appearances in his minor-league career.

Bettencourt is a former 25th-round pick by the Phillies in the 2016 MLB Draft.

The right-handed pitcher will give the Dodgers some added pitching depth, and he'll look to finally make his major-league debut this season.
