Injury Update On New York Yankees DJ LeMahieu

According to the New York Yankees hitting coach Dillon Lawson, DJ LeMahieu's bat speed and swing appear back to pre-injury levels.

LeMahieu is reportedly already at the Yankees' player development complex in Florida hitting, running and participating in defensive drills.

The thirty-four-year-old veteran decided not to undergo offseason surgery on his injured right toe, which ultimately kept him out of the Yankees' playoff run last October.

However, it's positive news that the toe does not appear to be an issue right now, which puts him in a good spot heading into this season.

Last season, LeMahieu finished with a .261/.357/.377 triple-slash line, with 12 home runs, 46 RBIs, four stolen bases and 74 runs scored over 125 games. He should be due for a bounceback year offensively if he can stay healthy.
