He's calling it a career.

Murphy began his career with the New York Yankees after he was drafted by them in the second-round of the 2009 MLB Draft.
In total, spread across eight seasons, Murphy played a 284 games, recording a .215/.262/.344 triple-slash line, with 18 home runs, 61 RBIs and 69 runs scored.
The thirty-one-year-old spent three seasons with the New York Yankees, three with the Arizona Diamondbacks and one each with the Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
