Brewers Starting Pitcher Dealing With Shoulder Fatigue; Start Of Season Delayed
Brewers GM Matt Arnold reports that left-hander Aaron Ashby will be behind in camp with what the club is characterizing as shoulder fatigue. Considering Ashby spent three weeks on the IL last season with shoulder inflammation, they'll play it safe with him.

Ashby missed time last summer with a similar issue, so this is concerning news.
The Brewers will obviously play it safe and move him along slowly this spring.
Despite showing potential last season as a starter, Ashby's performance was underwhelming, finishing with a 4.44 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 126 strikeouts across 107.1 innings and 19 starts.
Given these circumstances, it will be a challenge for the 24-year-old to secure a spot in the rotation this season. The left shoulder fatigue is likely to reduce his chances of achieving this goal.
