Brewers Starting Pitcher Dealing With Shoulder Fatigue; Start Of Season Delayed

He'll be behind at the start of training camp.

Milwaukee Brewers general manager Matt Arnold announced this week that pitcher Aaron Ashby will be behind at the start of training camp due to left shoulder fatigue.

Ashby missed time last summer with a similar issue, so this is concerning news.

The Brewers will obviously play it safe and move him along slowly this spring.

Despite showing potential last season as a starter, Ashby's performance was underwhelming, finishing with a 4.44 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and 126 strikeouts across 107.1 innings and 19 starts.

Given these circumstances, it will be a challenge for the 24-year-old to secure a spot in the rotation this season. The left shoulder fatigue is likely to reduce his chances of achieving this goal.
