Boston Red Sox Sign Left-Handed Pitcher

The Boston Red Sox are adding more pitching depth.

The Red Sox have signed left-handed pitcher Cam Booser to a minor-league contract.

Booser spent the first half of the 2022 season in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization after signing a deal with them last February.

He spent the entire season with their Double-A affiliate, recording a 6.48 ERA, 1.92 WHIP, with 30 strikeouts over 25 innings and 19 relief appearances.

He was later released in July.

He then joined the Lancaster Barnstormer of the independent Atlantic League, appearing in 13 games for them with a 4.63 ERA.

For his minor-league career, the thirty-year-old holds a 4.70 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, with 173 strikeouts across 134 innings of work.

Booser throws 100+ MPH and has been working on developing his slider and his command over the offseason.
