Faria, a former promising top pitching prospect within the Tampa Bay Rays' system, has not been able to find too much success at the major league level yet.
Since 2019, the twenty-nine-year-old has spent time with the Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Milwaukee Brewers and the Rays.
The last time he pitched in the majors was the 2019 season with the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he posted a 5.51 ERA with 32 strikeouts over 32.2 innings of work.
For his major-league career, Faria holds a 4.70 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 185 strikeouts over 203 innings.
He is a former 10th-round pick by the Rays in the 2011 MLB Draft.
