Atlanta Braves Talented Young Starter Won't Play In World Baseball Classic
Health/insurance issues kept several Canadians off the team including Joey Votto, Mike Soroka and Josh Naylor, while others like Jordan Romano, Jameson Taillon, Zach Pop, Rowan Wick and Charles Leblanc passed because of their club situations.

Soroka has not made a major-league appearance since the 2020 season due to a pair of Achilles tears and, more recently, elbow soreness.
The good news, however, is the twenty-five-year-old is coming into spring training without any physical limitations.
Over his young three-year career, Soroka holds a strong 2.86 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 171 strikeouts over 214 innings and 37 starts. He was an All-Star, finished sixth in Cy-Young voting, and second in Rookie-of-the-Year voting in his rookie season.
