Washington Nationals Sign Veteran Pitcher
The Washington Nationals have added a veteran pitcher to their depth, as they have signed Alex Colome to a minor league contract.
Colome spent this past season with the Colorado Rockies where he noticeably struggled to find consistency. Yet, the new year offers a clean slate for the veteran, and he will be aiming to bounce back with the Nationals due to this. However, for that to occur, he will first need to impress Washington during spring training and earn himself a spot on their major-league roster because of it.
With the Nationals sporting a rather weak bullpen, there’s a good chance that the grizzled veteran will in fact earn a spot on their Opening Day roster. We will need to wait and see if that does in fact come to fruition. When noting that he is a former All-Star, there’s really no harm in them taking a chance on him.
