Washington Nationals Sign Pitcher
The Washington Nationals have made a minor move, as they have signed Odalvi Javier to a minor league contract.
Javier spent this past season split between Double-A and Triple-A. Overall, it was a successful year for him, as he sported a 2-5 record to go along with a solid 2.56 ERA in 47 appearances. Yet, even though he did well, the Atlanta Braves decided not to bring him back. Now, he will be aiming to take that next step as a National from here because of it.
With the Nationals sporting one of the weakest rosters in the sport, Javier could stand a chance of making their major league roster if he has an impressive major league camp. Alas, let's see if he can make the Nats' major league roster for the start of the season from here.
