Perez was lit up during his time in the majors last season, posting an ugly 7.27 ERA, 2.54 WHIP and seven strikeouts over 8.2 innings of relief in 10 appearances.
In the minors, the twenty-five-year-old fared a little better, but still put up an underwhelming 4.82 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 61 strikeouts across 46.2 innings of work. He made 45 relief appearances, converted one save and held a 1-3 record.
The southpaw will return as organizational bullpen depth for the 2023 season.
