Top 3 Free Agent Outfielders Still Available
There are a number of teams still in search of one more bat, one more outfielder on the free agent market. There has been a flurry of signings of late, up to the decision today of Andrew McCutchen to take his talents back to where it all began.
But for teams like the New York Yankees, New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays, Miami Marlins and more, they'll have to choose between the best of the rest:
Adam Duvall
The slugging 9-year veteran is only one year removed from a 38-homer season, and a key piece in the Atlanta Braves' run to the 2021 World Series. 2022 was not so kind to him, as he dipped to a .213 average with just 12 HR, and a well-below-average mark of an 87 OPS+.
David Peralta
Another nine-year veteran, Peralta's power has gone AWOL the past several years, but he still finished as an above-average league hitter last season, with an OPS+ of 109 to go with his 12 HR and .251 average for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay Rays. He's a professional hitter, who could still help a team.
Jurickson Profar
The one-time super utilityman has settled into the outfield the past couple of years. The switch-hitter had an above-average season last year, with a 111 OPS+ for the San Diego Padres. He finished with 15 HR and 58 RBIs, along with 82 runs and a decent .331 on-base.
Others to consider include Tyler Naquin, Tommy Pham and Robbie Grossman.
