Tampa Bay Rays Sign Pitcher
The Tampa Bay Rays have signed Jaime Schultz to a minor league contract.
At this point of the offseason, it is always wise for teams to build on their pitching depth before the start of the regular season. By adding Schultz, the Rays have done just that, but the righty will now be aiming to be more than that by impressing at spring training and making their Opening Day roster because of it.
Ultimately, there's no harm in the Rays bringing in a pitcher like Schultz. At worst, he will pitch in the minor leagues for them, but let's see if he can get his way onto their major league roster from here. Alas, time will tell what happens on that front.
