San Francisco Giants Sign Catcher

The San Francisco Giants have made a depth move, as they have signed Roberto Perez.

The Boston Red Sox were viewed as potential frontrunners to sign the veteran catcher, but the Giants ended up stealing him from them at the final hour. Now, the Giants have landed themselves a backup catcher with experience as they gear up for the 2023 season.

Perez spent this past season with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he had two home runs, eight RBIs, and a .233 batting average. We will now need to wait and see what he does as a member of the Giants during the 2023 campaign from here.
