San Diego Padres Sign Pitcher

The San Diego Padres have made a depth move, as they have signed Angel Sanchez to a minor league contract.

Sanchez has not appeared in the majors since the 2017 season, where he pitched in eight games for the Pittsburgh Pirates. During them, he had a 1-0 record to go along with an 8.76 ERA. Needless to say, he struggled in his lone MLB experience, but now he will be hoping for the chance to redeem himself with the Padres in 2023.

We will need to wait and see if Sanchez impresses at Spring Training and successfully earns himself a spot on their Opening Day roster from here.
