Pittsburgh Pirates Sign Pitcher
The Pittsburgh Pirates have added to their pitching depth, as they have signed Tyler Chatwood to a minor league deal.
Chatwood will now provide the Pirates with another bullpen option for the 2023 season. However, for him to have any chance of making their Opening Day roster, he will need to impress at Spring Training and have his contract selected in the process.
Chatwood last appeared in the majors during the 2021 season when he played for the Toronto Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants. In 10 MLB seasons, the veteran righty has a 52-60 record to go along with a 4.45 ERA in 229 games. Let's see if he gets the chance to improve upon these career stats from here as a Pirate.
