Philadelphia Phillies Add to Their Roster

The Philadelphia Phillies have re-signed Dustin Peterson to a minor league contract.

It makes sense that the Phillies have decided to bring Peterson back, as he has the potential to serve as a decent depth option for them moving forward. Ultimately, teams can never have too much depth, and he will provide them with just that a minimum. However, if he impresses at spring training, he also stands a chance of making their opening day roster.

Time will tell how this signing impacts the Phillies, but at the end of the day, there is virtually no risk in them making it. Let's see if Peterson can end up putting together a strong year for them from here.
