Oakland Athletics Release Eight Pitchers From Organization

The Oakland Athletics did some in-house cleaning on Monday, releasing eight pitchers from their organization.

• RHP Daniel Martinez: 7.03 ERA, 139 strikeouts over 138.1 innings in the minors.
• RHP Joe DeMers: 5.77 ERA, 129 strikeouts over 173 innings in the minors.
• RHP Clark Cota: 5.70 ERA, 104 strikeouts over 102.2 innings in the minors.
• RHP Javier Reina: 10.80 ERA, six strikeouts over 6.2 innings in the minors. 
• RHP Robin Vazquez: 5.78 ERA, 158 strikeouts over 165 innings in the minors.
• RHP Luis Florentino: 4.42 ERA, 111 strikeouts over 110 innings in the minors.
• RHP Gimy Rojas: 8.33 ERA, 21 strikeouts over 31.1 innings in the minors.
• RHP Alexis Cedano: 5.95 ERA, 97 strikeouts over 92.1 innings in the minors.

None of these pitchers have made their major league debuts yet.
