NY Yankees Bring In Some World Series-Winning Help For Brian Cashman
New York Yankees fans like to throw shade at GM Brian Cashman for the team not having been able to win a World Series in, now, 13 seasons and counting. Pretty certain they'll be thrilled that the team has brought in a familiar face to act as the new Executive Advisor to Cashman. Brian Sabean has three World Series rings as a GM, and was a huge contributor in the background of the last Yankees dynasty.

Sabean has a long and storied history with the Bronx Bombers, as he previously served as Director of Scouting and Vice President of Player Development & Scouting a few decades back, and was responsible for drafting or signing Yankee legends Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte.
From there, he went on to join the San Francisco Giants, where, as their GM, he built three World Series winners (2010, 2012, 2014).
That kind of pedigree, most Yankee fans will agree, will be more than welcome as an advisor to GM Brian Cashman.
