New York Yankees Sign Veteran Outfielder

The New York Yankees make another move.

The Yankees have signed outfielder Rafael Ortega to a minor league contract.

The deal likely includes an invite to spring training.

This past season with the Chicago Cubs, Ortega slashed .241/.331/.689, with seven home runs, 35 RBIs, 12 stolen bases and 35 runs scored across 316 at-bats.

The thirty-one-year-old adds some added organizational depth for the Yankees at the outfield position. He'll look to crack the Yankees Opening Day roster this spring.
