New York Yankees Sign Outfielder

The New York Yankees have re-signed Jake Bauers to a minor league deal.

Bauers spent the entirety of this past season in Triple-A. Overall, it was not a good year for him, as he had eight home runs, 28 RBIs, and a rather low .183 batting average in 61 games. Needless to say, he will be aiming to have a bigger year in 2023 and move on from his rough season.

Bauers has 328 games of MLB experience split between the Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland Guardians, and Seattle Mariners. We will have to wait and see if he gets the chance to build upon these career numbers with the Yankees this season. Yet, for that to occur, he will need to impress significantly at Spring Training to even have a chance.
