New York Mets Re-Sign Catcher
The New York Mets have signed Tomas Nido to a two-year, $3.7 million contract.
Nido will now serve as the Mets' backup catcher for two more seasons given this development. Overall, it make sense that New York wanted to keep him around, as he has been a solid option for them over the years, and now he will continue to be.
In a career-high 98 games this past season with the Mets, Nido had three home runs, 28 RBIs, and a .239 batting average. It will be intriguing to see how he performs for the Mets in 2023 in response to this nice contract from here.
