MLB Rumors: St. Louis Cardinals Linked to Red Sox Infielder

The St. Louis Cardinals are aiming to build to their roster before the start of the 2023 regular season. They certainly could use some depth in their infield, and one player who reportedly is on their radar is Boston Red Sox infielder Bobby Dalbec because of it.

The Red Sox have been dangling Dalbec on the trade market, as they are looking to switch up their roster a bit after last season's struggles. Furthermore, Dalbec had a rough 2022 campaign, as he an extremely low .215 batting average in 117 games. However, a change of scenery could be exactly what helps him find his previous form. Keep in mind, he did have 25 home runs in 133 games the year before.

Dalbec could be a good DH option for the Cardinals if he bounces back in 2023, so don't be surprised to see them make a big push for him as we get closer to the regular season.
