MLB Rumors: Seattle Mariners Pitcher Linked to Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles took a major step in the right direction this past season, and now they are aiming to build off of it in 2023. After years of being at the bottom of the MLB standings, there is now hope that they can be a playoff team this upcoming year due to their strong 2022 season. However, if they want to improve their chances of this coming to fruition, they will need to add at least one starting pitcher before the start of the year. It appears that they understand this, as they are one of the teams having trade talks with the Seattle Mariners over Chris Flexen.

Flexen has made been available by the Mariners due to their strong pitching depth. Furthermore, Seattle is looking to improve their roster elsewhere, and he could be the kind of trade target that helps than land just that. Meanwhile, he would also have the chance to be a full-time starter with the Orioles.

We will need to wait and see if the Mariners and Orioles end up striking a deal centering around the pitcher from here. On paper, there seems to be a legitimate match here, but time will tell if it does in fact come to fruition.
