MLB Rumors: Oakland A’s Looking to Trade Power Hitter

Last offseason, the Oakland Athletics embraced a full-on rebuild. Since then, we have seen several former core players from their roster moved. This is a trend that we will likely see continue this offseason, and Seth Brown is becoming a notable trade target because of it.

Brown showed last season that he can be a legitimate power threat at the major-league level. In 150 games last season, he had 25 home runs, 73 RBIs, and a .230 batting average. After a season like this, there will certainly be interest in his services if the A’s make him officially available.

Alas, we will have to wait and see if Brown ends up moved before the start of the regular season. It certainly seems possible with his trade value at its highest.
