MLB Rumors: Nelson Cruz Garnering Interest

While speaking in a radio appearance on Grande en Los Deportes, Nelson Cruz said that he has received contract offers from multiple teams around the league. However, he did not specify which teams are currently expressing interest in him.

With this development, it is clear that Cruz should be back next season if he wishes to. The 42-year-old DH is coming off of a rough year with the Washington Nationals, but he will be aiming to bounce back next season. In 124 games with Washington, he had 10 home runs, 64 RBIs, and a .234 batting average. This is certainly low for his standards, as he has been a significant power threat since all the way back in the 2009 season.

Nevertheless, it certainly seems that Cruz could find a new home very shortly, so we will have to keep our eyes out for a potential signing from here.
