MLB Rumors: Miami Marlins Making Big Push for Veteran

Yuli Gurriel is one of the most notable free agents still available on the free-agent market. As a result, his market is starting to heat up, but the Miami Marlins appear to be the frontrunner for his services.

According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, they are making a bigger push to land the veteran infielder.

Gurriel has been linked to the Marlins over the last few weeks, and it does seem quite likely that we will see him and I’m heading to Miami. The Marlins are looking to beef up there in field before the start of the year, and bringing in a two-time World Series champion like him will do just that.

Although Gurriel may not be the biggest star, He is a quality Player while playing at his best, so it does make sense at the Marlins are considering the prospect of bringing him in. Let’s see if they end up landing their primary free-agent target from here.
