MLB Rumors: KC Royals Linked to Seattle Mariners Outfielder

The Seattle Mariners have a crowded outfield, so they are reportedly shopping former top prospect Jarred Kelenic because of it. A market is starting to form for the young outfielder, as the Kansas City Royals are making a big push to acquire him.

It makes sense that a rebuilding team like the Royals have Kelenic on their radar. After all, there is still reason to believe that he could blossom into an effective power hitter at the major-league level. A change of scenery may be exactly what helps him move on from his struggles so far in the majors. Furthermore, the Mariners are in win-now mode, so it makes sense that they are willing to trade him if it results in them landing a bigger talent elsewhere.
