MLB Rumors: Insider Links Aroldis Chapman to Miami Marlins

As we inch closer to spring training, veteran reliever Aroldis Chapman still does not have a home. Interest in our services have gone up as of late however as multiple teams are fortunately expressing interest in him. According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, the Miami Marlins are stepping up their efforts to bring him in.

Although the Marlins have plenty of starters, they’re both and certainly can use a little bit of work, and Chapman would provide them with a boost. Although we had a down year with the New York Yankees this past season, it’s fair to wonder if he can bounce back with a change of scenery. As a result, it makes sense that the Marlins are at least considering bringing him in.

We will have to wait and see if the Marlins do in fact end up signing Chapman from here. On paper, there seems to be a real sit here, but time will tell if this does come to fruition.
