MLB Rumors: Free-Agent Starter Seeking Two-Year Deal
According to MLB insider Jon Heyman, free-agent pitcher Michael Wacha is currently seeking a two-year contract on the open market.
Wacha is coming off of a strong 2022 season with the Boston Red Sox, so it makes sense that he is looking for a multi-year pact. In 23 appearances last season, he had an impressive 11-2 record for a bad Red Sox club and sported a 3.32 ERA. As a result, he is in a position to ask for a solid contract, and it is likely that he will receive one from here.
Alas, we will need to wait and see if Wacha gets his wish and lands a two-year contract from here.
