MLB Rumors: Colorado Rockies Shopping Power Hitter

According to Jim Bowden, the Colorado Rockies are listening to offers for CJ Cron.

Cron could be a good option for teams looking to add a bit of power to their lineup. The 33-year-old first baseman is coming off of a season that saw record 29 home runs, 102 RBIs, and a .257 batting average. This was good enough for him to be named to his first All-Star game, so the Rockies could likely get a nice return for the power hitter.

Teams looking to make the playoffs and who are in need of some pop in the lineup should seriously consider making a push for Cron. We will have to wait and see where the nine-year veteran ends up from here, but it is clear that a sizable market should form for him.
