MLB Rumors: Chicago White Sox & Chicago Cubs Talking Trade

The Chicago White Sox are looking to add an infielder to their group before the start of the season. One player who is emerging as a trade target for them is old friend Nick Madrigal. With the Chicago Cubs signing Dansby Swanson, Madrigal is now no longer a starter, so he could be on the move because of it.

The White Sox traded Madrigal to the Cubs as a part of the Craig Kimbrel trade back in 2021. At the time of the move, Madrigal was emerging as a very effective MLB player, as he had a .305 batting average in 54 games before the move. However, he struggled this past season with the Cubs, as he had .249 batting average in 59 games.

It will be intriguing to see if a move back to the White Sox could help Madrigal find his previous form. Alas, let's see if a reunion is on the way.
