MLB Rumors: St. Louis Cardinals & Padres Talking Trade

The San Diego Padres are listening to offers for young pitcher Ryan Weathers. Now, it appears that his market is starting to pick up some steam, as the St. Louis Cardinals are expressing interest in acquiring him.

The Cardinals are looking to improve their pitching depth, so bringing in a pitcher like Weathers certainly does make sense for them. After all, he possesses a good amount of upside, and he could be given more chances in St. Louis' rotation because of it. At a minimum, he could even see time in their bullpen, and that is another area that the Cardinals could use some help with.

We will need to wait and see if these two National League teams end up completing a trade centering around Weathers from here. It is clear that he could use a change of scenery, but alas, time will tell if it ends up coming to fruition from here.
