Rodriguez spent last season pitching for High-A Cedar Rapids, recording a strong 2.97 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 75 strikeouts across 60.2 innings. He made six starts, 20 relief appearances and held a 4-1 record.
The twenty-seven-year-old right-handed pitcher will continue to work his way up the Twins' minor-league system and, if he continues to pitch the way he does, he could find himself making his major-league debut very soon.
For his minor-league career, Rodriguez holds a solid 3.88 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 147 strikeouts over 116 innings of work.
A smart re-signing by the Twins.
