Minnesota Twins Sign Catcher

Headed to the Twin Cities.

The Minnesota Twins have signed catcher Grayson Greiner to a minor league contract.

After spending the first four seasons of his career with the Detroit Tigers, Greiner joined the Arizona Diamondbacks last season and ended up just getting into two games with the team.

He spent the rest of the season in the D-Backs minor league system, slashing .232/.318/.709, with six home runs, 20 RBIs, one stolen base and 20 runs scored over 151 at-bats.

Over his five-year major league career, the thirty-year-old owns a .201/.275/.307 triple-slash line, with nine home runs, 46 RBIs and 42 runs scored over 139 games played.

Greiner will most likely begin the 2023 season at Triple-A St. Paul. He is a former third-round pick by the Tigers in the 2014 MLB Draft.
