Minnesota Twins Sign Catcher
The Minnesota Twins have signed Tony Wolters to a minor league contract.
Wolters appeared in just two games this past season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he failed to record a hit in four at-bats. Overall, he did not make much of an impact, but now he will be hoping to change that with the Twins.
With this move, Minnesota has added to its catching depth. It is also important to note that he comes with seven years of MLB experience, so he should be a solid call-up option for when injuries arise. We will have to wait and see if he ends up making a big impact for Minnesota in 2023. With the Twins' catching depth being fairly weak, he could be in the running for their backup position.
