Minnesota Twins Place Starter On Waivers
Headed to the waiver wire.
The Minnesota Twins have designated pitcher A.J. Alexy for assignment.
Alexy was acquired from the Texas Rangers just a couple of weeks ago, but he gets pushed off the 40-man roster with the team's addition of Michael Taylor this week.
Taylor deal is official. A.J. Alexy was DFA'd to make room on the 40-man roster.

For his major-league career, the twenty-four-year-old holds a 6.30 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, and 23 strikeouts across 30 innings of work, all with the Rangers.
Alexy has found more success in the minors, however, registering a 3.93 ERA, a 1.33 WHIP, and 465 strikeouts over 396 innings. He's made 78 starts and 27 relief appearances so he offers some versatility.
There's a decent chance that Alexy goes unclaimed on waivers and will remain with the Twins as rotation depth.
He is a former 11th-round pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2016 MLB Draft.
