Milwaukee Brewers Release First Baseman
The Milwaukee Brewers have released Jon Singleton. As a result, he will now have the opportunity to test the free-agent market to find a new home.
Singleton was designated for assignment earlier this week, and now the Brewers have decided to simply release him. The 31-year-old first baseman did not appear in a game for the Brewers during his time with the organization. In fact, he has not played in the majors since 2015, but now he will be hoping to change that with a new team in 2023.
In 114 career MLB games, Singleton has 14 home runs, 50 RBIs, and a .171 batting average. Let's see if he gets the chance to improve upon these numbers next season from here.
