Burgos last appeared in the majors with the Arizona Diamondbacks during the 2016 season. He has spent the last five seasons pitching in the independent Mexican League.
During his time in the majors, the thirty-two-year-old recorded a 5.27 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, and 82 strikeouts over 68.1 innings of work. He made 73 relief appearances, converted three saves and held a 3-4 record.
It's a very interesting addition by the Marlins.
