Miami Marlins Release Outfielder

The Miami Marlins have made a change to their roster, as they have released Tevin Mitchell. As a result, he will now have the opportunity to test the free-agent market.

During this part of the offseason, teams often release players as a way to trim their rosters. With this decision, the Marlins now have another roster spot where they can sign another player. Meanwhile, Mitchell will now be aiming to find a new home before spring training rolls around.

There certainly could be some teams willing to take a chance on an outfielder like Mitchell if they need more depth. We will need to wait and see if that does in fact come to fruition from here.
