Marte will return to the Dodgers' organization as added catching depth in the upper minors.
Marte dealt with injuries all year last season, leading to him getting into just seven games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he went 1-for-12 at the plate with an RBI.
For his minor-league career, the twenty-eight-year-old holds a solid .259/.327/.736 triple-slash line, with 46 home runs, 265 RBIs, 29 stolen bases and 248 runs scored over 536 games and 11 seasons played.
Marte has yet to make his major-league debut and, at this point, he's really only emergency catching depth.
