An intriguing signing by the Los Angeles Angels.
The Angels have signed pitcher Alan Zhang Carter to a minor-league contract.

The twenty-five-year-old pitcher was born in Singapore and has spent the last three years pitching at Lee College.
Over those three years, he's compiled a solid 3.55 ERA, averaging 14.9 strikeouts per nine innings. He's made 10 starts, 20 relief appearances, converted two saves and holds a 10-3 record.
Carter's last two seasons have been his best, posting a 2.86 ERA and a 1.06 ERA.
It's an interesting signing by the Angels.
