The Angels have signed catcher Jose Godoy to a minor league contract.

The deal also includes an invite to spring training.

Godoy moved around quite a bit this past season, playing a total of 22 games between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Minnesota Twins.

In the minors last season, where he spent the majority of his season, the twenty-eight-year-old posted a .227/.290/.654 triple slash line, with six home runs, 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored over 176 at-bats.

Godoy will serve as emergency catching depth for the Angels this coming season.
