Kansas City Royals Sign Veteran Infielder
The Kansas City Royals have made a minor move, as they have signed Matt Duffy to a minor league contract. It also comes with an invitation to spring training with the major league squad.
Duffy will now be aiming to impress at spring training, as it could lead him to be selected to their major league roster. When noting that the Royals do not possess a very strong roster, it is fair to argue that he has a good chance of making the team. This is especially true when noting that he has a lot of MLB experience, too.
Duffy spent this past season with the Los Angeles Angels, where he had two home runs, 16 RBIs, and a .250 batting average in 77 games. Let's see if he can put up a better year with the Royals in 2023 from here.
