Injury Update On Miami Marlins Top Pitching Prospect
He made his major league debut this past season.
Unfortunately, he was forced to undergo Tommy John surgery in August.
However, Miami Marlins prospect Max Meyer said this week that he plans to start a throwing program in the next few weeks.
Max Meyer told @Kyle_Sielaff that he will start getting ready to throw again in a couple of weeks. Meyer is on his way back from Tommy John surgery.#Marlins

It's a very good sign that Meyer is ready to start throwing again after just six months removed from the surgery.
The twenty-three-year-old top prospect still faces a long rehab process, but has a chance to return before the end of the 2023 season, barring any setbacks.
For his minor-league career, Meyer holds a 2.77 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 199 strikeouts over 172 innings.
Meyer was, and continues to be, one of the most exciting pitching prospects in all of baseball. Hopefully, we can see him back on the mound again soon.
