Former Red Sox Pitcher Looking for MLB Opportunities

There has been some buzz regarding a possible return to Japan for Hirokazu Sawamura. However, according to Pete Abraham, Sawamura actually would prefer to stay in the majors.

Sawamura spent this past season with the Red Sox, where he had a 1-1 record to go along with a 3.73 ERA in 49 games. Overall, it was a decent year for him, but it did not stop the Red Sox from releasing him before the end of the season.

We will have to wait and see if Sawamura can end up landing a job in the majors elsewhere from here.
