Kelley was designated for assignment by the Milwaukee Brewers last week in order to open up a spot for Bryse Wilson. However, Kelley declined the spot at Triple-A Nashville and will instead join free agency.
In 35.1 career innings in the majors, the twenty-nine-year-old holds a poor 7.13 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and 34 strikeouts. He's spent time with the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and the Brewers.
Kelley is a former 36th-round pick by the Red Sox in the 2015 MLB Draft.
