Former Arizona Diamondbacks Pitcher Signs Overseas
Taylor Widener is taking his talents overseas, as he has signed a one-year deal with the NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Widener was let go by the Arizona Diamondbacks earlier this offseason, and now he is going to test his luck with the Dinos because of it. It is a little surprising to see that he did not land a minor league deal elsewhere, as he did have a decent year with the Diamondbacks when called upon in 2022. In 14 games on the year, he sported a 3.63 ERA in 14 games.
Nevertheless, Widener will now be aiming to have a huge year with the Dinos from here. If he does, do not be surprised to see him land a contract in the majors again for 2024.
